I loved my team. From the very first day, I was included in the day to day of the department. I was also able to meet with employees from other departments/projects and discuss with them what they were working on.

Don't be afraid to reach out to people in the organization. Everyone is super passionate about what they do and would love to talk to you about it.

What I liked
Opportunity to create Instagram for the organization and manage Facebook community. Created consciousness-raising content that aligned with national organization brand standards for use across social platforms.
What I wish was different
Could have benefitted from more structure and more communicative work environment.
Advice
Interns should be independently driven and think creatively! There are also opportunities to dive deep into policy research.
