Excellent opportunity to establish customer service skills, provide sales support, as well as to gain insight into how a business operates on a day to day basis. The training process allowed for the development of company knowledge (parts, specifications, etc) and once they felt you were ready, you were applying this knowledge to help customers and/or distributors on a day to day basis. Excellent work environment with resources always available to you. When help is needed, it is given.
What I wish was different
Nothing. Great experience that greatly improved skills necessary to succeed in today's workforce.
Advice
Be sure to always triple check figures, part numbers, and quantities with customers or distributors when speaking on the phone. This will eliminate any possible miscommunication errors that cost time and money.
