I like the variety of tasks I get assigned as well as communicating with fellow assistants to complete a common goal.
What I wish was different
A more consistent schedule would be helpful because I would work in between classes when I am on campus.
Advice
The experience and skills learned throughout being the lab assistant were beneficial to add to my curriculum vitae as well as to prepare me for other laboratory settings

What I liked
What I like the most was being able to mentor my peers. I was able to use my communication skills and background knowledge from previous research years to teach my fellow peers. I liked how I was able increase my knowledge on instruments used to identify lead concentrations.
What I wish was different
I wish we had more time doing lab work but because of the current pandemic we weren't able to.
Advice
One piece of advice for students is to look for research opportunities. It is important as students to have research experience outside of class to be able to know what graduate school will be like and increase research instrumental experience.

A-Store Assistant Manager Intern
September 2019 • Milwaukee, WI
What I liked
I absolutely love my experience in the A-Store so far. The culture here is great. My coworkers are hardworking and fun, which makes the work day extremely enjoyable. I love the fact that I am treated as somebody who is of equal value and nobody is put on a higher outlook. I also absolutely love that nobody takes sole credit for team work or anybody else's ideas.
What I wish was different
I wish the store hours would be longer. The days seem to go by way too fast when there are only limited hours that our storefront is open.
Advice
Always take initiative if that is an option. Great leadership looks great on everybody.
