I learned so much about the insurance industry and FP&A field by attending meetings and completing independent projects. I loved that the work I did as an intern was valuable to the company, and that I was given the opportunity to work independently and check in with my supervisor when I needed guidance.

What I liked
The internship was very much what I made of it, and I was able to work on many diverse projects especially in the analytics space. I had the opportunity to work with very welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable people and really learned a lot.
What I wish was different
Advice
No matter what internship/role you go into, the more you take initiative and ask to learn about different departments or tools, the more you will get out of it and the more people will see you are interested in the work you are doing.
