Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Canton, MA

What I liked

The company atmosphere was great, a large company with small company resources. The branch I worked in was especially great and very welcoming.

What I wish was different

The resources for interns after they finish their term aren't great. The company spent a lot of time describing the many post-college opportunities but in reality none of these programs were open or available. However, the supervisors were very helpful in providing letters of rec and resources.

Advice

Stay in touch with your supervisors for post-grad resources.

Financial Planning & Analysis Intern

June - August 2020 • Carmel, IN

What I liked

I loved my experience! I was given meaningful work, had a great manager, and enjoyed my summer despite its virtual nature. If anything, being remote helped me to take initiative and allowed me to virtually meet with more people across the company than had I been in person.

What I wish was different

Obviously, I wish I had been in person for my summer. The only improvement I could see is I wish there were more ways for interns to connect with one another, especially with it being virtual.

Advice

Take initiative and don't be afraid to ask questions. It shows you are passionate, interested in doing a good job, and care. People who truly give 110% and try to be problem-solvers for the business during their time there, leaving a long term impact, do really well in the company.

What I liked

It was one of the best work cultures I have ever been apart of. It’s a really great place to work that is full of driven and hardworking individuals.

What I wish was different

I would not change anything about it.

Advice

I would say to be sure to put yourself out there and meet as many people as you can. Everyone is extremely nice and is more than happy to offer any professional advise.

Industrial Design Intern

August 2019 • Indianapolis, IN

What I liked

Great design experience, and good design team. Process and research oriented, which helped me develop good foundational skills.

What I wish was different

Some more time for person projects, but we already get a 1 hour lunch so it's pretty good.

Advice

Getting to know the programs early so you are comfortable with them moving forward in the design process.
