I liked being able to teach academics to incoming 1st graders and being in a Christian environment in an urban setting.

What I liked
Great coworkers, very positive culture and the the work environment was one where I could grow personally. The work was very rewarding and I had a lot of Independence to work as a wished.
What I wish was different
I wish that the training would have been different. I had to figure out the majority of my responsibilities myself. That being said the leadership was incredibly helpful along the way, so it balanced out.
Advice
Give it everything you have. Working with kids in the inner city is very taxing and they require everything of you, if you hold back it is even worse than if you go all in.
