As an intern with the Chamber, I had the unique opportunity to take initiative on a variety of interesting and professionally-challenging projects. By working collaboratively with an exceptional leadership team and group of interns, I learned valuable lessons about working and succeeding in a professional environment. And I will continue to carry these lessons throughout my professional career.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had more time to work in person at the Chamber.
Advice
You will only get out what you put into your work at the Chamber. Ask questions, and continue to strengthen your personal and professional network.

What I liked
I really enjoyed this opportunity. Unlike most students I enjoyed the chance to work from home most days and not feel pulled to come in the office. Because of Covid and the riots made it tough to show up as my best self, but my supervisor was most supportive in affirming my work.
What I wish was different
That I could have given more of myself, but as a black man in The United States of America, when George Floyed was killed, I couldn't afford to give any more of myself to this country than I was giving myself.
