I got real hands-on experience from day one. Upper management was friendly, and my intern supervisor was knowledgeable and a great teacher.
What I wish was different
Due to the pandemic, the normal level of classroom experience and community involvement was reduced, and it seemed like there was scrambling to organize everything due to social distancing requirements.
Advice
If your direct supervisor isn’t giving you enough work, ask. If you’re not getting enough from your experience, ask for a change. They’re happy to hear it and accommodate.
