What I liked

This was a perfect opportunity to improve my communication and customer service skills! The people I worked with had a very good balance between being professional and friendly, which encouraged me to do the same with regards to the people I worked with, as well as the people I served.

HR Intern

September 2018 • Plano, TX

What I liked

I am able to learn and grow without being micromanaged. All the employees treated me like a real employee, never treated me less than them and gave me the same assignment with the same expectations. I like meeting different high up positions to listen and learn.

What I wish was different

I wish I could work full time making the same salary. I loved the whole experience

Advice

Always look like you already know information. I always tried before I asked questions, dress like the employees, smile and say good morning to everyone.

Feasibility and Business Development Intern

June - July 2018 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

I liked how thy really treat you like an employee. They give you a bunch of projects to work on, and as much responsibility as you want.

What I wish was different

I wish the internship had been just a little longer. 8 weeks is a flexible amount of time but not enough to satisfy the work experience degree requirement

Advice

I would really try and do as much as you can while you’re there. If there’s something you want to cover about the underwriting process, never be afraid to ask about it.
