The work environment was incredibly welcoming and encouraged intern input and innovation. My supervisor and her colleagues were more than willing to take the time to teach me how to use applications like InDesign (which I had never used before) or to explain certain marketing processes with me.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been a little more direction with what I was supposed to be doing sometimes.
Advice
I would ask as many questions as possible. AFAR Media is the kind of office that truly supports a professional teaching environment as a place for growth. Definitely attend all the meetings, because it will help you get an idea of the goals of the company and the brands they market with and for.
