Friendly coworkers & meaningful work that helps people. My facility is quickly adapting to new technologies and even have me validate the instruments for patient testing. If you like new technology you'll like this line of work.
What I wish was different
Would have been nice to work closer to home rather than move but traffic is better and cost of living is more reasonable than the Bay Area.

If you like laboratory work, critical thinking, and care about people you'll enjoy this line of work.
