The Woodbridge Village Association is a private homeowners association, a planned community, located in the city of Irvine. The Association has existed since 1976 as a mutual-benefit, non-profit corporation. The master planned-community was developed by the Irvine Company but is a separate entity and not connected with the developer.
What we have…and what the dues pay for…
The Association encompasses 1,700 acres and features approximately 42 parks and pools, two “landmark” lakes each with a lagoon for swimming, beach clubs (with boat docks), tennis courts, plus many other recreational amenities for use by the residents. A “Reserve Fund” is maintained for long term replacement of the association’s assets. In addition to Administration, Accounting, Community Relations, and Community Services, an experienced Recreation staff offers a multitude of year-round activities, programs, and special events. Being a recreation oriented community, the Association operates seven days a week, including most holidays.
What we do…
The Woodbridge Village Association is governed by a board of directors who are residents elected by the membership. The staff is comprised of paid employees who work “on-site” at the association office within various departments that include: Accounting, Administration, Community Relations, Community Services, Maintenance, and Recreation. The top level employee is the Executive Director, followed by the four department managers, who each have support staff which may or may not include supervisors, coordinators, secretaries, receptionists, clerks, facility inspectors, and seasonal staff.
The Association’s operation is similar to that of a property management company. While we do not maintain any of the individual homes, we do maintain all the recreational facilities and commonly owned landscape areas. We also enforce the rules and regulations of the community, publish a monthly newsletter, and provide various member services. There are approximately 9,600 homes within the community for an overall population of about 30,000 people.
The Association’s services and structure are similar to a small city within a city; thus making the “Woodbridge Way of Life” a unique and exciting experience and a great place to live.
