I had multiple preceptors, but it would have been nice to have just 1 or 2. I also wish the internship was longer!

To anyone questioning whether to do this internship I would strongly encourage them to do it. I would advise them to choose a field they are interested in to start making professional connections.

What I liked
I got a front row view of what inpatient OTs do everyday including data entry, treatments, and evaluations. The OTs were so helpful and kind to me.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to get a more in depth look at the data entry, as this seems to be the hardest part of the job to catch up on.

I would advise other OT students to see an outpatient facility as well.

What I liked
I enjoyed being able to have one on one guidance from a registered nurse. It was an amazing opportunity to see all of the responsibilities of a labor and delivery nurse as well as a couplet care nurse.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had more access to patient documentation as well as an OBGYN specific checklist for the internship.
Advice
Dive into it right away. You learn so much and there is no such thing as a bad experience when you are learning as much as you are.
