Clinical Medical Assistant

May 2018 - August 2018 Syracuse, NY
“I worked in a small private practice and recieved intense one-on-one training in a variety of clinical skills and worked independently with patients to collect vitals, medical history, and review medications. During exams, I provided hands on support to physicians. Both physicians in the practice became fantastic mentors to me and stopped multiple times throughout the day to bring me in on an interesting case, show me abnormal labs or diagnostic images, or explain a complicated pharmaceutical mechanism. I was able to shadow them in the OR and make great connections with nurses, healthcare providers, medical students, and patients. ”
