Sen. Leahy's office is a well-oiled machine with a terrific staff and well-developed internship program. From your first day in the office, everyone makes you feel like you're a part of the team—and you really are. In addition to your daily duties, the staff encourages you to get out of the office and attend as many congressional hearings and briefings as possible.
What I wish was different
I only wish it had been a bit longer.
Advice
Don't do anything half-way while you're there. Think of your internship as an extended job interview.
