I wish there would have been more employees working on the weekends because it would get really busy and hard to get everything done in a reasonable time frame.

Work hard and get things done quickly, it makes it go a lot smoother.

The company values their employees. My department is incredibly flexible with working with your schedule, we work effectively as a team, and the coworkers are all great!

At times communication could be improved between departments, and even between new leadership and servers within the department.
Advice
Marriott is a great company to work for, specifically if you’re interested in the hospitality route. The Provo Marriott is a great full-service hotel to get experience in if you want to move up the ladder, and great to stay at as well.

I was basically trained as a hostess and busser while getting paid less than either position and not receiving tips. The position was not thought out well and I quit before my internship was over.

Do not do it, look for other hotels to intern with.
