I liked the faculty, how I could do my homework in my down time as well as the dress code, and they're pretty flexible with your schedule.

That they would have supplies for students to take.

What I liked
I loved the types of clients who used the service we provided, each came in with an interesting story and a passion for what they were researching. I also love the wide array of work experience offered. I was able to wear many hats this summer!
What I wish was different
I wish there were more students using the service in summer. There were many slow days that were less than productive. Finding motivation on slow days is key, and it has to be from the inside.
Advice
Let the people around you know what sorts of work experiences you would like to have. Everyone here is interested in helping you as an professional and will give you plenty of opportunities

What I liked
I liked that I had the opportunity to work with youth of all different backgrounds and ethnicities during the college prep week. I really enjoyed helping plan the college prep week for the arrival of students that was currently going into the 11th and 12th grade. Not only that but when I had to go to the office and do work, the office setting was very welcoming.
What I wish was different
There’s nothing I would change about the position.
Advice
I would suggest that when you enter into this kind of workplace, you should always have an open mind. Come with bright ideas, positive attitudes, and ready to work.

I loved the environment that I worked in. I felt very comfortable in that space. All the staff was very friendly and I always came in to work wanting to come back because I built a great relationship with my co-workers, which I still talk to today.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have gotten more hours but I guess I couldn’t since I did have another job that I was working for part time as well.
Advice
That this is a great summer job, definitely would recomend to others. And it’s a great way to get to know the campus as well.
